    Audra graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with double Bachelor of Arts majors in Pre-Law Government and Pre-Law Sociology and a Minor in Women’s Studies.   While completing her University of Texas undergraduate degree, she participated in the foreign exchange language course with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City during her senior summer.   Between her undergraduate studies and attending law school, Audra worked as an international corporate and securities paralegal at White & Case LLP in both their New York City and their Mexico City offices.

    Audra received her doctorate of jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.   While attending South Texas College of Law, she was on the Dean’s List, was a member on the Currents International Trade Law Review and an associate editor of the Corporate Counsel Review.   Audra also participated in international foreign law exchange programs during the summers in law school.   She studied International Law and Comparative Human Rights Law at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland and International Law, European Union Law and International Criminal Law in Valetta, Malta at the University of Malta.   Audra was a law clerk for a semester during law school at the United Nations’ International Criminal War Crimes Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia located in The Hague, The Netherlands.

    Audra is a native Houstonian who has traveled to, lived in and/or studied abroad in more than 20 countries.   She enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures.   Audra is an active volunteer in the Houston community through several charitable and professional organizations.

    Francesca Castaldi has been a licensed attorney since 1996 and was admitted to the Federal Bar, Southern District of Texas in 2004.   Francesca graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1995.   While at UHLC, Francesca was a member of the Public Interest Law Organization and co-president for the 1994-1995 term, as well as a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association and the Asian Law Students Association.   Before attending UHLC, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Italian from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992.   While at UT, Francesca was a member of the UT Crew Team and active in the Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity serving on the Service Committee and the Entertainment Committee.   Francesca also attended Wells College in Aurora, New York for her freshman year of college.

    Originally from Austin, Francesca fell in love with Houston when she moved here for law school.   She joined the Italian-American Cultural Center and the Italian Lawyers of Texas.   Francesca was also a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association.   Francesca has also been active in the local theatre community as a founding board member for two theatre production companies: dos chicas and The Fan Factory.

    As a first generation American and as the first lawyer in her family, Francesca is deeply committed to the legal representation of all immigrants. Francesca's Activities and Organizations:

    KAREN MENDEZ

    Karen was born in Dominican Republic.   At the age of four, she moved to Puerto Rico with her family until she was seventeen years old when she returned to Dominican Republic briefly before setting her sails towards the United States.   At twenty-two years old, she proudly became a citizen of the United States.   Having recently gone through the immigration process herself, Karen is familiar with the immigration procedure personally, and she is very excited to assist others who are attempting to do the same.

    Karen is currently attending school for Computer Drafting and Design. In her spare time, she likes to relax with her friends and family.   Karen is fluent in both Spanish and English, and she will gladly assist you with any questions when you call to make an appointment with:
